In this first phase, the team of expert trainers from Belgium, France and Germany came together and prepared the trainings in the three next phases. The preparatory meeting took place in Brussels from 18 to 21 February 2022.

During the second phase, the DeafBlind trainees from Belgium, France and Germany received their first training for DBA trainers in Heidelberg from 28 February to 6 March 2022.

Empoway vzw/asbl is a non formal education center for adults promoting the lifelong learning of adults from various backgrounds on diverse themes relevant in our society such as activism, diversity, equality, inclusion and empowerment. Its field of action is not limited to the national level in Belgium but is also provided at the European level. Its scope of activities is broad: raising awareness, organising campaigns, providing training and consultancy on topics based on the expertise of its trainers.
AccesVisuel is a training center on deafblindness in the sector of adult education. The priority of AccesVisuel is to raise awareness on deafblindness in France so that the barriers which deafblind persons encounter can be removed and misunderstandings on deafblindness can be ended. AccesVisuel organizes regularly its trainings and activities at its own initiative but also upon request from individuals, organisations and public authorities in France.
GebärdenVerstehen e.Kfr. is a sign language training center and contributes to expanding its scope of activities in order to raise awareness on deafblindness and provide specific courses on the communication means of deafblind persons together with three experts in deafblindess, two of them being deafblind themselves.
